Let's plan an unforgettable evening banquet in the state guest house.

It's the turn of the 20th century, a new state guest house was recently completed, which will become the new stage for diplomacy. To commemorate this, a grand banquet will be held, and dignified guests have been invited from all over the world. As the country's diplomats, you are tasked with introducing the guests, arriving by carriage, to the VIPs, who are influential figures from various countries, to deepen their relationships. So, which player will be the most highly-praised diplomat tonight?

Players are diplomats and fill the grand chamber of the state guest house by placing guest tokens around the VIP tiles in their play areas. You must place guest tokens that each VIP likes around that VIP, and be careful not to place guest tokens that they do not like next to them. Using the effect of the grand salon, which allows you to exchange tokens once during the game, well is also important.

    1. Bring guests from 1 carriage tile to the grand chamber.

Choose one of the carriages in the center and take it and the guest tokens that are aboard. Then place them in your grand chamber area.

    2. Earn points with clever placement of guests around your VIPs.

When four guest tokens are placed around a VIP tile, points are awarded based on the type and color of the tokens. After scoring, the VIP tile is turned over to show that their points have been calculated.

    3. Keep the end game commemorative photo bonus in mind as you place guests.

At the end of the game, you get bonus points for sets of rows and columns of guest tiles.

Rules for expert and solo modes are also included!

"The Great Evening Banquet" also comes with expert rules and a solo play mode. Once you've played a few games, be sure to try these additions.

The Expert rules change the arrangement of the VIP tiles, and has you place some of the guest tokens next to 2 different VIPs. This is bound to be a very brain-burning experience.

In solo play mode, you challenge yourself to achieve as high of a score as you can. You can play with either standard or expert rules.

A token placement game with simple rules that will have you thinking hard and enjoying playing over and over again!

In "The Great Evening Banquet”, each turn, you simply choose and place tokens. However where to place them is a really challenging puzzle, and creates a truly interesting game. You want to aim for a high VIP score based on the type and color of tokens, all while planning for the end game photo bonuses, but when you begin working towards one, often the other goal suffers. When things aren't going well, players' judgment and planning ability are called into question.

Enjoy this token-placement game with simple rules that can be played over and over again, along with lovely illustrations set in a state guest house in the early 20th century with luxurious components.
